Vattudalskortet offers fishing within a very large area in and adjacent to Ströms Vattudal. It is an extensive water system in northern Jämtland, with Ströms Vattudal as its dominant lake, but the area also includes a large number of smaller lakes, tarns and rivers. The extent of the water system provides opportunities for varied fishing in scenic surroundings. A well-developed road network makes most waters easily accessible via access roads and good parking facilities. Strömsund is the central locality in the area. The main roads on both sides of Ströms Vattudal, Vildmarksvägen and Björnvägen, and Road 345 towards Ramsele are the main routes through the area. There is good fishing for trout, Arctic char, grayling, perch, pike and whitefish. Ströms Vattudal also contains rainbow trout. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Only when accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult/person who holds a valid fishing permit (using that person's quota) Vattudalskortet is a collaboration between five fish-conservation areas—Faxebygdens FVO, Russfjärdens FVO, Öhns FVO, Bonäs-Risnäs-Äspnäs SFF, Dragans FVO and Malmsjöns Fvo. Vattudalskortet provides the opportunity to fish in Ströms Vattudal, its outlet and adjacent lakes and tarns with a single fishing permit. Vattudalskortet is administered by BRÄ, Bonäs-Risnäs-Äspnäs SFF. In parallel with sales of Vattudalskortet, fishing permits continue to be sold within each fish-conservation area/joint property association.
