Aspö damm och Brunnshultadammen

The fisheries management area covers the lower part of Solgenån from Brunnshultadammen down to Bruksgården power station in Emån's main channel. Aspödammen and the dam in Holsbybrunn are also included. Solgenån has rich flora and fauna associated with both flowing and calm-water environments. The stretch from Brunnshultadammen down to Emån is designated as valuable, and Emån's main channel is a Natura 2000 area with freshwater pearl mussel as a target species. Pike over ten kilos have been caught and Brunnshultadammen also contains some zander. For those interested in angling, there are plentiful coarse fish. The trout in Solgenån and Emån are self-reproducing and fairly large-growing, but not particularly numerous. Alseda-Skede Fisheries Management Area includes fishing in, among other places, Aspö dam and Brunnshultadammen, two lakes with species-rich fish fauna that include fine stocks of large perch and pike. Since trout stocks exist in Emån, there is also a chance of catching trout in the lakes. Trout of up to two kilos are sometimes caught, but they usually weigh around half a kilo. Fish species Perch, bleak, bream, chub, pike, zander, burbot, roach, crucian carp, rudd, tench and trout. The area has one or more accessible fishing waters. The fisheries management area consists of fishing-right holders and carries out fisheries management and supervision of Alseda Skede FVO, which covers the lower part of Solgenån from Brunnshultadammen down to Bruksgården power station in Emån's main channel. Aspödammen and the dam in Holsbybrunn are also included. Adjacent to the area there is a barbecue area, outdoor toilet and rubbish bins. Near Brunnshultadammen and at the power station dam in Aspö, there are places accessible by wheelchair.
