For Ragvaldsträsket, a maximum of 3 pike perch/day applies. We would like to see larger specimens released as they are important for reproduction. In Gummarksträsket, where pike-perch releases are underway, all pike-perch are being released back until further notice. We also want pike over 80 cm to be released back. The really large specimens of perhaps 10-15 kg are considered important for reproduction and the balance of the lakes' ecosystems. "Shoot" – measure and release.

Skellefteå södra FVO manages fishing in about ten lakes and tarns within the Gärdsmark, Gummark and Ragvaldsträsk village communities. The 5 largest lakes are Gärdsmarksträsket, Gummarksträsket, Hemvattnet, ... Skellefteå södra FVO manages fishing in about ten lakes and tarns within the Gärdsmark, Gummark and Ragvaldsträsk village communities. The five largest lakes are Gärdsmarksträsket, Gummarksträsket, Hemvattnet, Västträsket and Ragvaldsträsket. The lakes have good PH values, are relatively nutrient-rich and therefore have high fish production. The fish species are common to the area: pike, perch, roach, bream and burbot. All the lakes offer good perch and pike fishing; Ragvaldsträsket also has a fine stock of zander. For those interested in fishing for large coarse fish, Gummarksträsket should be particularly interesting with its abundant large bream. In the area there are one or more "put-and-take" waters with introduced salmonid fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17.
