Ballingslövssjön, Ottarpasjön

Welcome to fish in Ballingslövssjön and Ottarpasjön! There are, among others, perch, bream, zander, pike, carp, tench, eel and some wels catfish lurking in the bottom silt. You reach the area via national road 23 between Hässleholm and Osby. Turn off towards Tockarp approx. 15 km north of Hässleholm. After 600 metres there are parking spaces at Sjömellet. At Sjömellet, Ballingslövssjön and Ottarpasjön are connected by a navigable canal. At Sjömellet there is a pleasant bathing area with a bathing jetty and barbecue area. Unfortunately, it is not possible to hire/borrow a boat from the fish-conservation association. To ensure good water quality and safe conditions for people and nature, the fish-conservation association had PFAS levels in our lakes measured during summer 2025. The results show that the levels are well below the applicable limit values, which means that currently we have no PFAS problem. We work continuously to ensure that our lakes remain clean and safe for swimming, fishing and recreation. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17. Ballingslövssjöns och Ottarpasjöns fiskevårdsområde is a fish-conservation area owned by the co-owners of the lakes. The fish-conservation area actively works to preserve and improve the environment in and around the lakes. We want to create the conditions for long-term sustainable fishing and healthy lakes. We have fishing rules for both sport anglers and fishing-rights owners and work to maintain good relations between landowners, sport anglers, fishing-rights owners and everyone else who wants to enjoy our lakes.
