Tidans nedre FVOF

The area is bounded towards Vänern by an imaginary line between the outermost tip of the harbour pier and westwards towards Ekudden; the area then goes upstream all the way to the E20 bridge over Tidanån. Prohibition signs against entry to the dam installations at Mariefors and Kvarnen must be respected. There is a great deal of fish throughout the area. Worth mentioning is the zander which migrates from Vänern to spawn in the lowest rapids, and this is a local population that returns every year to spawn (see the provisions for what applies). Perch and pike are common. We also have a very good population of asp which returns every year to spawn (see the provisions for what applies). Coarse fish such as roach, bream, bleak, chub, ide, silver bream and tench are common. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. They must have read the rules. We are an association that started in 1976 and wants more people to have the opportunity to fish. We care for nature and life beneath the water surface.
